Phil McAlmond Jr

I am married to the love of my life and have been for over 40 years. We have 3 children, 9 grandchildren, with two wonderful sons in law and a beautiful daughter in law as well.

We have spent over three and a half decades in the ministry, very often being bi-vocational.

For 35 plus years, we have planted, restarted and pastored churches, all across this wonderful land of ours in the Lord Jesus Christ. Over these many years, we have experienced many of the highs and lows of ministry life as you can imagine. However, the Lord has always been ever faithful to continually lead us forward into His newer seasons of life and ministry.

Our Life Verse:

John 15:5 (ESV)

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (Also See Phil 4:13)

Our Ministry Focus:

Colossians 2:2-3 (ESV)

“that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Our Ministry Purpose:

That Christ in us the hope of Glory (Col 1:27) will become in Spirit and Truth, Christ through us Revealed in Glory!

Our Personal Hope: that this would one day be true of our life and ministry in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 20:24 (ESV)

But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. (Also See Matt 25:21,23)

Acts 20:26-27 (ESV)

Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all of you, 27 for I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.

    Mr & Mrs McAlmond,

Hello my name is Tema and I went to High school with Steve Warnell, he said you guys are kin and told me to go online and check out your worship services. I agree you are very Blessed!!! 3 children and 8 grandchildren, I just bet you are wonderful Grandparents also.
Steve & I have had some discussions about the Bible. I told him I would love to send him one.
I to am very Blessed… my only child met Jesus at age 11, although I miss him so deeply. Everyday I tell him I love him and thank him for being such a good son.
The song “What a Day that will Be” ( when my Jesus I shall see) is a favorite of mine, it always makes me think of the day I will see Christopher again.

May you both “Have a God Filled Day”!

    • Tema, it is so good to hear from you. Thank you for your kind and gracious words. Yes, I also love that same old hymn. I so look forward to that day. I long for His appearing. Soon and very soon we shall see the King. Again, thank you for touching base with us. Blessings in the Lord Jesus Christ to you and yours.

Mike and I were just thinking about you as we are in a search for a new pastor at community covenant church in Winthrop.
We both appreciated your ministry to us while we were in trouble and have fond memories and thoughts toward you.
We hope you are doing well and wish the best for you and your family. Do you remember us?

    • Yes Erin, I do. Thank you for your kind and gracious remembrances. Definitely miss the Methow. It is so very beautiful there. Lee and I pray you all are doing well. We pray your business is doing well also. The last time I saw you was at your office/shop right? It has been a while. We pray you find the right Pastor for you as a church. Pastoral searches can truly be a challenge, yet the Lord is always faithful. Keep looking to and leaning on Him. Blessings in the Lord Jesus Christ to you both and your family!
